I do it every couple weeks on all drains (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.) so it usually doesn’t get to the clog point.

Oh – a fun tip for you. If you buy the laundry detergent in the large size that comes with those little clear cups, those cups are exactly half a cup and are perfect to keep with your baking soda.
