Humble Kraft paper really is becoming one of my absolute favorite secret weapons when it comes to stylish gift wrapping. I love that it sets a neutral stage to showcase any number of baubles and embellishments!Β
In addition to the Paper Medallion Ornaments I shared a few weeks back and the Custom Printed Twill Ribbon I shared last week, I wanted to add a really festive touch to this package for my sister. I decided to use an eye-grabbing stencil and some shimmery turquoise paint to achieve just the effect I was looking for!
To stencil your own packages, all you need is a fun stencil, some paint and stenciling brushesΒ and some kraft paper.
Start by wrapping your gift with the kraft paper. Stencil your image onto the paper as desired, making sure to use only a small amount of paint so that it doesn’t seep through the paper. Allow 15 minutes or so for the paint to dry before finishing your package with your other desired decorative accents.
Another fun touch is to use a white paint pen to write the recipient’s name onto the packaging. No need to print off any gift tags – hooray!

Love it! At first I thought you were going to stencil and then wrap. Stenciling after you wrap puts the design in the exact position it needs to be. Thanks for the inspiration!

I LOVE the stenciling! I used kraft paper with sparkly ribbon a few years back, but I think I like the stenciling idea better. So pretty. π

Oh how beautiful! I love the shimmery nature of the paint you used. This is gorgeous. I would be hesitant to even open this if it were for me because I’d hate to ruin something so pretty. π
