Happy Friday! I hope this week has treated you well! We’ve been busily preparing around here for Fathers’ Day all week, and I have to say I am super excited about my hubby’s gifts! I posted earlier this week about the retro driver headcover I put together for him, and his gift from the kiddos is a work in progress I plan to share with y’all later today. Suffice it to say I’ll be keeping Mr. Matt from doing any looking at the blog for the next couple of days! 😉

Now, on to what has become something I truly look forward to each and every week: a chance to turn the spotlight on one of you, and on the projects that truly knock my socks off!
Allow me to introduce you to the talented Michele at The Scrap Shoppe!
Michele’s blog is a true treasure trove of crafty goodness.
This wreath was love at first sight for me. I had seen yarn wreaths before, but this one stopped me in my tracks. The color scheme she used here is an absolute delight, and these felt flowers? Get out! They are stunning! Michele is such a doll, she even shares a video tutorial on her blog for how to create some flowers of your own.
You will never, ever guess what these beauties are made of. (That is, unless you are one of Michele’s lucky readers. 😉 These gorgeous faux ceramic roses are made from a humble sheet of scrapbook paper! Michele shows you exactly how in her fabulous step-by-step.
I adore seeing the projects y’all complete based on my tutorials, and Michele really wowed me this week with her gorgeous decorative citronella candles! Truly lovely!
I’m sure you’ll ooh and ahh along with me when you see the terrific detail on this darling banner project.
Michele’s blog is a marvelous place to settle in with a cup of coffee and explore! I do hope you’ll venture over, and while you’re there, head over to her store to check out some of her clever scrapbooking t-shirts!
Thank you, Michele, for continuing to inspire me with your creativity!
For those of you I’ve featured over the course of the last few weeks, please feel free to grab this button to display on your blogs!

Do you have big plans for Fathers’ Day weekend? For Sunday, Matt has asked for an Italian spread of Spaghetti and Meatballs All’Amatriciana with Custard Gelato and summer berries for dessert. His only other request for the weekend was to plan a family outing to the First Tee golf course across the river on Saturday morning. I think we’ll all have tons of fun with that! (And talk about the perfect time for him to show off one of his gifts. 😉 We’ll be sending long-distance wishes to our dads, since the 1000-ish miles from here to there make weekend trips next to impossible (at least without spending a veritable fortune on airfare for a family of 5!).
May all of you have a marvelous time celebrating all of the dads in your life, and also remembering those who are no longer with us. Thank heaven for daddies!
