- Dimension is key in creating attractive vignettes, and nothing adds more dimension than displaying items at varying heights. I used crystal candlesticks and a cake plate to prop up the various elements in my vignette, but you can also use things like crates, books or really anything under the sun to elevate your objects.
- When decorating small spaces, consider adding a mirror as a backdrop. The reflection of light does wonders to make a tight area feel larger! My Easter “tree” looks doubly full thanks to the reflection of light off the mirror hung at the back of the niche creating an optical illusion that it is twice as big as it actually is.
- Wondering how to keep floral stems from leaning to one side when placed in a vase as I did with my Easter tree here? Place a little square of floral foam inside the top lip of the vase and push your stems down through it. Nice and secure, and no leaning whatsoever!
- Don’t let your creativity be stifled by what seasonal displays “ought to” look like. Traditional color schemes (i.e., red and green at Christmas or pastel hues at Easter) are nothing but a suggestion. If you’d rather take a different direction with your decor, go for it! Although I opted for the traditional pinks, greens and blues of the season, I punched them up a bit in typical Amy fashion and used the most vibrant versions of them I could find.

I love your display. And to answer your question. I cannot walk past the Dollar section at Target. I always find something there! Thanks for sharing this with us!

I LOVE your color scheme. So cheerful. 🙂 What a pretty vignette.
Are you from NM? I was born in Albuquerque. I only lived there for a year before we moved to VA, but my parents lived there for awhile after my dad got out of the Air Force. 🙂
