I like that you mentioned how removing switchplates and outlet covers would be necessary when repainting one’s interior. That’s quite a task I am not confident in doing so I’ll most likely call some professionals to do the painting for me. They should ensure a quicker work and more efficient without me risking my life on removing the covers and the likes. Thanks!

Most of these tips were exactly what I was expecting, but I was not expecting the tip to remove light switch and outlet covers. I have always just taped the edges of those in the past. It definitely makes sense to remove them and make sure that the paint covers as much of the actual wall as possible. I’ll have to keep that in mind the next time I paint the inside of my house.

The process of painting a house is a lot more in depth than I would have ever guessed, I haven’t even thought about everything I will need to tape up, not to mention the amount of time that it will take to do all of that. My wife and I are doing a small remodel and looking repaint the interior of our home, I’ve been wanting to paint our living room since we moved in 10 years ago. I want the job done right and I’m afraid I’ll miss a step, I think I’ll hire a professional when I can get it painted.
