Free Printable Bernie Valentines

What better way to celebrate this Valentine’s Day than with these cute Bernie Sanders printable Valentines, which feature original Bernie art inspired by the iconic look he sported at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration? My oh-so-talented daughter Charlotte created the Bernie portrait for these funny and timely valentine cards. And the best part is, we are sharing them for FREE with you today!

There is something great about making unique valentine cards instead of opting for the store-bought versions. I like to take printables like the one I’m sharing today and use card-making supplies to turn them into something really special!

Tips for making Bernie Valentine Cards (foldable style)

To make foldable Bernie valentines, you’ll need to gather the following supplies:

• White cardstock – 8.5×11″ (for printing the Bernie designs)
• Solid colored card stock  – 8.5×11″ works best
• Decorative scrapbooking paper (I used a red and white stripe)
• Paper trimmer
• Double-sided adhesive roller

To start, download the print the Bernie Valentine Card PDF (find the FREE download below) onto the white card stock. Use a paper trimmer to cut around the black outer edge of each of the four card designs on the sheet.

For each card, trim the solid card stock into a 5.5×8.5″ piece. (You can do this easily by trimming a sheet of 8.5×11″ card stock exactly in half widthwise. Easy peasy!) Fold the trimmed card stock piece in half to form a folded card that is 4.25×5.5″.

Use the paper trimmer to trim a piece of the printed scrapbooking paper that is 3.75×5″. Use the adhesive roller to affix this piece to the front of the folded card.

Center the Bernie valentine design onto the front of the layered card, and secure it with the adhesive roller. 

Voila! Your folded Bernie valentines are complete!

Tips for making Bernie Valentines (flat style)

For this style of Bernie valentines, simply download and print the FREE Bernie Valentine PDF onto white cardstock, then trim around the black border of each design to create four flat valentine cards. A message to the recipient can be written on the back of each card. Nice and simple, but still as fun as can be!
