I have received so much wonderful feedback on my kitchen update post from earlier this week. Thank you! Many of you have commented on how much you love the gorgeous Flor rug in the space.

 Today I have a special treat for you: Flor is generously offering one lucky Positively Splendid reader a rug of his or her very own!

Flor offers a dizzying array of carpet squares that can be assembled in any configuration or pattern to create custom, dynamic area rugs, runners, or wall-to-wall carpet designs for any space. The squares (which measure just shy of 20×20″ apiece) are joined together with small adhesive squares, and because the adhesive only touches the carpet squares themselves, there is absolutely no damage done to the floor beneath.

The design options for the Flor tiles are limitless, but I have to say what I adore most about the Flor system is how perfect it is for homes with children and pets (and messy adults!). How many times have you found yourself staring down at an area rug covered in a milk spill or a pet stain and wished you could just magically replace or clean that small part of the rug without having to roll up the entire thing to be professionally cleaned? Flor allows you to do just that. Simply pick up the soiled square, run it under the tap, and then allow it to dry completely before replacing in it your rug with a new adhesive square. So simple!

Flor represents a practical, affordable option for reconciling the style you love in your home with the inevitable wear and tear of everyday life with a family. And after using our rug for over a month now, I can vouch for the fact that Flor holds up to high-traffic wear and tear beautifully! 

And the icing on the cake? When the time comes to replace any of my Flor tiles, I can simply mail the tiles back to Flor to be recycled so they never wind up in a landfill. How terrific is that!

    I would love to put a rug in my work area for my boys to play on. I’m not sure which style I’d pick, but I think I’d mix up 2-3 colors like you did in your dining area. 🙂 I also think “Sweater Weather” and “Parallel Reality”.

    I love the filgreed and watch this pattern…I have a lot of black furniture and the filgreed would accent that but the watch this would add pops of color which I love too!!

    My first choice is the Drysdale but I like several. I like when they ‘stripe’ the room in a solid color ….’stripe’ effect is done by changing the pile height by row. So cool!

    Waxing Poetic and Hide & Batik are my favorites. My Dining Room is crying out for something beautiful. It’s not often you can find beautiful rugs in purple. Thank you for a wonderful give-away.

    I’m so excited! I can’t pick a favorite just yet as we’re picking out what we want to do with the child’s room. However, I might like a combo of pink, green and red solids.

    Mind Map-Pebble
    Rake me over-Leaf,Grass or Pewter
    Quality time-Pewter, truffle or Olive.

    I’d have to actually see them to know for sure.

    I love the tiles in the Rose pattern. I am redoing my craft room, but it’s in the basement and I hate being down there. Maybe some pretty carpet, other than concreat, will make me like it!

    So many beautiful styles to choose from! What a great idea for flooring. Love the sweater weather style, but there are others I like also! Fun decision to make!

    Omg! I am in LOVE with this design concept. We are moving into a new house. I’m not sure which would work best in our new home, but I’m veery attracted to Lasting Grateness. I do have questions though. I wonder how well the stay together? Think they are prone to coming apart easily? I hope not.

    It would so hard to make a decision. I can think of several rooms where flor tiles would make a huge difference. I’m drawn to “Lasting Greatness” for kitchen. “Mod Zebra II” for sewing/study. And “Parallel reality” for the entry way.

    I just moved into a new house and am converting one room in my basement into a craft room. I love the “Feeling Groovy” tiles in the basement section, a multicolored rug would add some color to the drab room.

    It didn’t take me long because I am considering a purple rug to replace a really gross rug in one of our bedrooms. The room is about the same size as what is being given away and one of our kids will be moving back home with fiancee and our Granddaughter. I hate the thought of our granddaughter on that rug in that room. This would be SO awesome to win.

    I LOVE the “All Squares” in purple. Awesome looking style and color. Perfect for that room.
