I love these 2 DIY posts!

When my sister and I were young my mother would magically transform old/ugly things into pretty things, and that really helped shape who I am today. Money was always tight (and still is!) So decorating on a budget has always been a part of me.

Another tip for drapes- you can use bedsheets. Look for the flat sheet only packages and you can add grommets or hang the rod through the top part of the sheet.

I’ve become an addict to your site, having found you through Pinterest. I’ve tried a few of your ideas, like the fabric covered box (5 month old in the house, so lots of diaper boxes) and can’t wait to try the make your own chalkboard paint. But I had to comment tonight to thank you for including the pop (soda) box turned soup can organizer – I’m kicking myself for not having thought of it sooner. I can’t wait to put this one into use, especially for veggies and tomato sauce, which we tend to buy a lot of.
