Thank you to Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart for sponsoring today’s Colorful Fall Tablescape. All opinions are 100% mine, and I am committed to sharing only terrific products that I truly love! This post contains affiliate links.
One of my favorite aspects of fall is bringing some of the vibrant colors of the season indoors. This colorful fall tablescape is brimming with gorgeous fall color and texture, and it is casual yet elegant enough for anything from weeknight entertaining with friends to holiday meals with family. And (believe it or not!) so much of what is seen here, from the gorgeous fall dishes to the fabulous marble cake stand and pumpkin soup bowls, is available at Walmart from Better Homes and Gardens, which means bringing a touch of fall elegance into your home is truly affordable!
One of my best tips for pulling together an affordable tablescape for any occasion or season: Pair must-have new items with items you already own to achieve the look you love.
When I started planning for this space, I invested in a handful of new items to add to my collection and then shopped my current decor accents, textiles and seasonal items to bring everything together.
The moment I saw these Better Homes and Gardens Leaf Salad Plates and the Sabin Striped Dinner Plates, I knew they were a must-have for my collection this season, and the Better Homes and Gardens Pumpkin Soup Bowls were too terrific to resist! The leaf plates are part of a complete line that is truly stunning–there is everything from serving bowls and dinner plates to platters and more, and all of them feature gorgeous, colorful details.
Aside from being lovely serving pieces, I think the little pumpkin bowls would be absolutely perfect for filling with cookies or other small treats to give as gifts!
The Better Homes and Gardens Acacia Wood and Marble Cake Stand was another item I added to my collection. This is a piece I know I can use all throughout the year, not only for serving food (hello, gorgeous cake display and perfect bread and cheese server!) but also for beautiful centerpieces like this one here, which features one of the DIY gilded pumpkins that I made last year and still love!
I always like to add a soft textile accent to a table, and the stenciled table runner from another fall tablescape I created a couple of years back was perfect for this purpose.
One of my favorite table runner tips: bunch and scrunch them up a bit to really amp up the texture effect.
A DIY metallic Mason jar vase filled with feathers adds even more texture and a lovely pop of blue to the mix.
Assorted gourds and pumpkins, plus some wheat sprigs and a beaded garland from my seasonal stash of decor came out for this display, as well. No need to get fussy with the placement of everything here! I honestly just added things in a loose, fuss-free fashion until I liked the look, which took just a matter of minutes.
Another of my go-to fall decorating tips: don’t forget to add a pop of blue here and there to really make golden/orange hues shine.
Blue and orange are complementary colors, which means when paired together, they make each other seem more vibrant. I DIY’ed some pretty fabric napkins in blue ticking stripe for each place setting, which I tied up with white lace ribbon and accented with two wheat sprigs. Simple and elegant!
