One of my favorite aspects of the Christmas season is the anticipation of the countdown to the big day during Advent. Our family’s holiday traditions include lighting a new Advent candle each Sunday evening leading up to Christmas. This Advent wreath centerpiece is the perfect way to celebrate this tradition together!
How to Make an Advent Wreath Centerpiece
Tuck and tuft the burlap ribbon down into the wreath form, working all the way around the wreath.
Tuck the decorative picks down into the wreath. Arrange the ornaments as desired around the perimeter of the wreath and secure each with floral wire.
Tie a bow made from the burlap ribbon around the handle of the lantern, and accent the center with a decorative pick.
Nestle the lantern in the center of the wreath, and place a taper candle into each of the four holders on the wreath. IMPORTANT: Be sure to trim the tails of the bow on top of the lantern so they will be at least 3 inches from the flame of the candle when lit.
Your festive DIY Advent wreath centerpiece is complete!
There are so many pretty pops of color and texture here. It is hard to believe something so elegant can be made in literally minutes!
This DIY Advent wreath would be a gorgeous addition to any table, or even displayed on a console, piano top or any other flat surface. As with any project that includes an open flame, the candles should only be lit under close supervision and out of the reach of children.
Handmade projects are a wonderful way to add meaning to holiday decorating. I hope you’re inspired to create an elegant DIY Advent wreath centerpiece to enjoy all season long!
