* What is one holiday tradition that you treasure that you hope to pass down to your children?
Of all of our traditions, going as a family to cut our tree is by far my most cherished. Until we moved to Arkansas, I had never before seen a tree farm, with rows and rows of beautiful little trees waiting to be taken home and enjoyed. Seeing my children walk hand in hand with their daddy as they move through the farm on their quest to find just the right tree fills me with such joy. As I look back, I only vaguely remember the gifts I received last year (even though I truly appreciated each and every one), but I remember so vividly the crispness in the air the afternoon we went on our tree-cutting adventure; the squeals of delight from Jack and Charlotte as they watched Matt cut our tree; the warmth of sweet little Cecily snuggled close to me in the Bjorn carrier; the sweetness of the hot cocoa we all enjoyed afterward as we listened to Bing Crosby during the ride back home. How blessed we are!
