Is it really only Tuesday? This has already been a crazy week, and we’re not even halfway to the weekend yet!
I know I’ve mentioned many times before that some semblance of structure is an absolute necessity in our household. I’m not saying we are entirely stuck in the same pattern day in and day out, but having a basic plan for the day before the kiddos are up and at ’em always helps things say a bit more sane.
To help with this, I’ve decided to come up with different weekly themes to help me organize my game plans. Of all of the many hats I wear, teacher is honestly one of the most important at the moment, and it really is fun to see the kids experience and learn new things. I think this is going to be fun for all of us!
So far, I have been absolutely amazed at the amount of cool information there is on the web for parents of young children, and it has been easy to devise a list of themes we’ll be going with in the weeks to come. On my list, so far I have a Valentine’s Day/heart theme (I found some really cool stuff on the American Heart Association web site), Groundhog Day, and Presidents’ Day. I am keeping a running list as I think of things…the kiddos really seem to be enjoying everything so far!
