Finding great handmade teacher gifts that teachers will love but that are also inexpensive and easy to make is something I always strive to do each year for Teacher Appreciation Week. Edible gifts are always a hit, but sometimes I like to go with something a bit more unique than just candy. Miniature Bundt cakes look fancy, but they really are as easy to make as cupcakes, and you can use any of your favorite cake recipes by dividing the batter up and adjusting the baking time accordingly. These little cakes were the gift I gave to my kids’ teachers this year for our Teacher Appreciation Week, and everyone absolutely loved them!
You can find miniature cake boxes in craft stores, or for an even more economical option, you can buy them in bulk online. You can even add a gift card to a favorite store or restaurant to make this gift even more personalized. There are lots of options!
Miniature Bundt Cake Teacher Appreciation Gift Supplies

Printable “Take the Cake” Gift Tags (click link for FREE download)
- Miniature Bundt cake (baked in a fun pan like this one)
- Small cake box
- Ribbon
- Twine
- Shears
- White cardstock
- Scalloped scissors
- Hole punch
Start by baking a batch of your favorite cake in the mini Bundt pan, allowing the cakes to cool completely.
When your cakes are ready, divide the cakes among the cake boxes.
Print the tags onto the cardstock, and trim around each one with the scalloped scissors before punching a hole through the top center of each.
Sidenote: I am so glad I kept all of my decorative scissors from my scrapbooking days! I find myself using them now all the time!
Tie the box up with a bit of festive ribbon…
…and then finish things off by adding one of the tags with a piece of twine.
To make this a truly on-the-go treat, you can even add a napkin and a fork so recipients can dig right in! If you don’t have a mini Bundt pan handy, these tags will work for traditional cupcakes, too, and the gift will be every bit as delicious.
