Using just a few supplies, I created this wreath for my Valentine’s Day mantel display. Let me show you how to craft a wreath of your own for Valentine’s Day to outfit your home in style!
For this project, you will need…
- Wreath form
- Wrapping paper (I purchased both the red faux bois and the grey and white herringbone paper from Target around the holidays)
- Rotary cutter and mat
- Hot glue
- Kraft paper
- Lace
- Various scrapbooking supplies: letter stickers, ribbon, buttons, etc.
Wrap the wreath form with the wrapping paper strips, as shown, securing the strips to the wreath with hot glue as you work.
Make 3 stacked paper medallions to embellish your wreath. (I shared a great tutorial for how to make these in my Embellished Witch Hat tutorial from last Halloween.) Use Kraft paper for the base of each and wrapping paper (or other pretty paper) for the top layers. Adorn the center of each medallion with stickers and other embellishments. Adhere the assembled medallions to the left side of your wreath with hot glue.
Finish your wreath with a swag of pretty scalloped lace and any other embellishments that strike your fancy. (I used a fun calendar embellishment from my stash of scrapbooking supplies.)
All finished!
This wreath is so simple to put together, but it really makes a great statement!
Paper medallions like these were all the rage at this year’s CHA show, and the best part about them (other than how pretty they are) is how easy they are to make.
This wreath is the anchor object in my Valentine mantelscape. I hope you’ll stop back in tomorrow when I’ll be sharing the full “tour” of the display.
Thanks so much for making PS a part of your day!

Love that faux bois wrapping paper! I have a burlap wreath that I’m trying to repurpose for each holiday (Trying to avoid unnecessary storage and clutter). I wonder if some medallions would do the trick. Thoughts?
