I posted pictures ofΒ this little skirt I put together for Miss Charlotte a few weeks back, one that is just spunky enough to have her name written all over it. I call it her Pebbles skirt, because every time she wears it, the first thing that comes to mind are the animal-print duds from the Flintstones. Yes, I am very much a child of the 80’s. π
The idea for this skirt was conceived of when IΒ came acrossΒ this tutorial by the talented Janna Wilson on the Fiskars website. I loved the idea of using scallops like those on a garment for a little girl, so I set to work to create one. I am so excited that today, I am going to share with you exactly how I put it together in my first-ever sewing tutorial!
Because this how-to is so laden with photos and text, I am opting to share it in PDF format rather than posting it all here. I hope it will inspire you to create a flouncy skirt for the little Pebbles in your own life, and I would absolutely love to see your lovely projects if you decide to giveΒ it a whirl!
P.S. I have pored over these instructions trying to ensure that everything is easily understandable and as thorough as possible, but do not hesitate to let me know (gently π if clarification is needed or changes are in order.
P.P.S. This probably goes without saying, but please do not use any garments produced using this tutorial for personal profit. This is just my little gift to fellow crafters seeking a fun, free project to enjoy. Thank you kindly! π
