Sew, Mama, Sew! is one of the sites I just couldn’t live without, and although I’ve been an avid reader of their blog for some time now, I’ve never participated in the forums. Until now! They are hosting a little Valentine’s Day contest to create a special handmade Valentine using the tutorial here, and the moment I saw this project, I couldn’t wait to give it a try.
I knew from the get-go that this clever fabric envelope would be a perfect vehicle in which to tuck a little brag book of sorts. My first instinct was to reach for my scrapbooking supplies, but then I got a wild hair and opted instead to do everything here – the pages, the embellishments, and even the photos – with fabric. The pictures of the kiddos appear quite grainy in these photos, but they are much more crisp outside of the blogosphere. And, per my latest fetish, like a moth to a flame I just couldn’t keep myself from throwing in the ubiquitous silhouettes for good measure. 🙂
Now that I’ve completed this little jewel, I am having to fight hard to resist the urge to tuck it into my diaper bag! No revealing yet just who this one is for…… 😉
Night-night!
