Moms really deserve our appreciation, don’t you think? Thinking of my own mom, it is incredible to think of all the ways my life is better just because of the amazing woman she is. This Mothers’ Day, I have come up with a gift idea that not only includes silky, smooth DOVE Chocolate (because who can resist delicious chocolate?), but also lets her know all of the things I love the most about her! Sweet little DOVE Dark Chocolate Promises are affixed with printable tags with handwritten notes of gratitude and then packaged up in a pretty Mason jar. With each chocolate Mom enjoys, she also receive a little love note from all of us. I know she’s going to love it! For this project, you will need…

Printable Mothers’ Day Gift Tags << Click for free download
- White cardstock
- 1″ circle punch
- 2″ circle punch
- Marker or pen
- Adhesive runner
- 1 pint-sized Mason jar with lid
- 30 DOVE Dark Chocolate Promises (These come in four delicious flavors and are the perfect size for the printable tags)
- Fabric scrap, cut into a 6″ circle (optional)
- Twine or ribbon (optional)
Directions:
Print the tags onto the white cardstock. Punch the large tag out with the 2″ punch. Punch each of the 30 small tags out with the 1″ punch.
Use the marker to write the recipient’s name onto the center portion of the large tag. Use the tape runner to affix the tag to the center of the lid of the jar, as shown.
Now, the fun part: Filling each of the 30 small tags with things you love and appreciate about the recipient. This is such a fun exercise to complete with children!
Affix a small tag to the back of each chocolate using the tape runner. Place the chocolates into the jar.
For an extra-special touch, center the fabric circle on top of the filled jar before screwing on the lid. Finish with a bow tied with twine or ribbon.
What mom wouldn’t love to hear all of the ways she is loved and appreciated?

Another terrific idea for using these tags is to put together a jar of appreciation for a special teacher. Kids can write all of the things they have loved about spending time with their teacher this year, and teachers will feel truly valued for all of their hard work!
The DOVE dark chocolate Promises come in so many delicious flavors, I opted to included all four varieties in my jar. Which means there are a few extras lying around that I might just have to sample myself. 😉 The Dark Chocolate and Caramel with Sea Salt are my personal favorites! If you’ve never really liked dark chocolate because it lacks the creaminess of milk chocolate, the silkiness of these is sure to win you over.
