Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout November and December, some of my favorite blogging friends will be stopping by Positively Splendid to share some of their best holiday ideas in the third annual Swell Noël series. You can stay up-to-date on all of the fantastic ideas shared throughout the series by following the Swell Noël 2013 Pinterest board, and also by following the #SwellNoel hashtag on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram. Kiki from Kiki and Company is here today to share a fabulous, oh-so-current printable Christmas card. Love this!
Hello, everyone! I am so excited to be here today for Swell Noel sharing my kids latest craze with you in Christmas form. I’m Kiki from Kiki and Company and have 5 of those munchkins running around me throughout the day, but their number one request for the last month has been to watch “What does the fox say?” I know I have those lyrics running through your head now, right?! If you haven’t seen it (or memorized it yet), it has over 232 million views and has a VERY catchy tune. 🙂 As I was thinking of something fun and different to do for Christmas this year, the song kept playing over and over in my head, so I had to do something about it. I thought it would be so fun to make a card that could double as a gift card or money holder and made the recipient smile at the same time..here’s what I came up with:
The thinking is done for you with this card. Simply download the files, print and cut and then:
*glue the front and back of the card together.
*score from the shoulder through the arm pit on both the front and back of the card. (this will make it super easy to bend)
*glue the black rectangle to the lowest part of the pants before they split into two legs…remember to only glue the bottom and two sides to leave a pocket to place the gift card/money and the Christmas card that comes with it.
*next glue the banner ends on each of his hands. fold his arms in to help bend the banner in the right place the first time.
*add the Christmas card and gift and close the arms.
*tie it up with string or ribbon and you are done!
Isn’t it the perfect little package to give?!
I love that you can still write who it is for..in case you have more than one to give:
And you can decide what arm you want outward..but there is the question:
and the answer is waiting for them when they open it up:
I also made one where it can stand by gluing together the top half of the body and then adding little squares of foam at the feet and in the legs to make it stand up. Either way turned out super cute. I can’t wait to surprise some people with it!
You can download your free Fox Christmas card HERE.
I hope your holidays are filled with lots of fun and memory making with the most important people in your life.
Merry Christmas.
