Positively Splendid Back-to-School Week kicks off with an idea to surprise a special educator on the first day of school this year. These free printable apple gift tags are the perfect way to make a traditional red apple extra special, and the poem message is as sweet as the apple itself! Aside from teachers, these would be great for principals, librarians and bus drivers, too. Read on to see the full details for this quick and easy project and grab your copy of the free printable gift tags.
For this project, you will need…
-
Apple poem gift tags (free download)
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Adhesive ruler tape
- An apple
Download your copy of the free apple gift tags and print onto cardstock. Carefully cut each one out with scissors, and have your child fill in the teacher’s and his or her own name.
Using adhesive ruler tape (or washi tape), adhere the tag to the front of the apple. (Alternatively, you can attach the tag to the apple with twine, if you prefer an adhesive-free option.)
The entire project is as simple as that! Tuck this sweet little gift into your child’s backpack on the first day of school to put a smile on a special teacher’s face the whole day through.
Tag reads: Roses are red, and apples are, too. I can’t wait to spend the school year with you!
