Fizzy Lemon-Berry Slush
Serves | 4 |
Prep time | 30 minutes |
Meal type | Beverage |
Misc | Child Friendly, Serve Cold |
Ingredients
- 1l club soda
- 3/4 cups powdered lemonade mix ((I use Country Time))
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (hulled)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Directions
Step 1 | |
Combine club soda and lemonade mix; stir well. Place in the bowl of an electric ice cream maker, and freeze until an icy, slushy consistency is achieved. Alternatively, if you do not have an ice cream maker, place the lemonade mixture into a blender along with a cup of ice cubes, and blend until slushy.
Step 2 | |
Place the strawberries and sugar in a food processor, and pulse until a smooth puree is formed.
Step 3 | |
To serve, add a spoonful of the strawberry puree to the glass before topping with a serving of the lemonade slush. Garnish with a fresh strawberry, if desired. |
The fizz from the club soda makes this slush even more refreshing…
…and the sweetness of the strawberries paired with the tartness of the lemonade is a perfect flavor combination!
